Povzetek:

Telecommunication systems can be described by many methodologies and tools. This work focuses only on those that use standardized Specification and Description Language (SDL) and Unified Modelling Language (UML). Diploma work describes study of an SDL specification transfer from ObjectGEODE to SDL Suite and Tau. Initiative for the study came from the Slovenian telecommunication industry. While SDL Suite is based on the SDL, Tau uses the UML. Both tools support import of SDL specifications. For our study, a real-life SDL specification of IUA Protocol was used. Study shows, that import of SDL specification is not possible without changes to the original specification. In diploma work we present and comment on changes to the original specification that are necessary for the syntactically correct and automated import of the specification to the selected tools.
