| Abstract Wireless local area networks have become very important part of computerinfrastructure. With wireless local area networks, devices can communicatewithout using wires. Wireless local area networks havemany security issues. Inthis thesis we developed software for wireless local area network usage monitoring(“NUBO”). With this software, we can detect, analyze and archive dataabout wireless local area networks. We can also view network data frames inreal time. The main software it uses is the open-source tool Kismet for scanningwireless local area networks. In this thesis, we first present the hardware andsoftware needed for operation of the developed software. Then we describe thelatter. At the end, we present the results of testing our equipment on a real caseof wireless local area network usage monitoring. | |
